Manychat Alternatives for Indian Creators: Which Auto-DM Tool To Use

If you've ever typed "comment LINK and I'll DM you" under a reel, you already know why auto-DM tools exist. The problem is that the tool most people recommend, Manychat, was never priced for Indian creators.

Manychat bills in US dollars, needs an international card, and charges by the number of people who message you. The free plan now covers just 25 contacts, so it is effectively a test account. Paid plans start around $14 a month on annual billing, and one reel that pulls 3,000 comments can push you into the next tier whether or not any of those people bought anything.

There are now three India-built alternatives that cost a fraction of that. This post breaks down what each one does well, what it doesn't, and how to decide which one fits your account. All prices were checked on the tools' own pricing pages in September 2026. They change often, so confirm before you pay.

First, be clear about what you need auto-DM to do

Every auto-DM tool does the same core thing: someone comments a keyword on your reel, the tool sends them a DM with a link or a file. Where they differ is everything around that. Before comparing prices, decide which of these jobs matters to you.

1. Deliver a link or freebie. The basic comment-to-DM flow. Every tool on this list does it.

2. Turn commenters into followers. The tool asks the person to follow before it sends the link (a "follow gate" or "follow-to-unlock"). This is where the tools start to differ, and it's the feature that moves your follower count.

3. Collect a lead. Capture an email or WhatsApp number inside the DM before sending the resource.

4. Sell something. Send them to a product, course, or booking page, ideally one you don't have to build separately.

5. Reply in the language your audience comments in. If your comments section is Hinglish, a tool that replies in English only sounds like a bot.

Most creators only need jobs 1 and 2. If that's you, you should be paying a few hundred rupees a year, not a month.

The three tools at a glance

Influish: ₹499/year, no free plan. Follow gate yes. Stories, lead capture, AI: no. 1 account. Extras: brand collab marketplace, invoice maker. Best for new creators on a tight budget.

ReelOxa AutoDM: ₹399/month or ₹3,999/year, 30-day free trial. Follow gate with follow verification, story and live triggers, email and WhatsApp capture, click analytics. Hinglish AI replies on Pro (₹699/month). 2 accounts monthly, 3 annual. No storefront. Best for growth-focused creators who want the numbers.

SuperProfile: Free forever plan with unlimited DMs on reels and posts; Creator plan ₹99 for the first month, then ₹499/month. The paid plan unlocks Ask-for-Follow, story and live triggers, DM keyword replies, follow-ups and email capture. Up to 5 accounts. Digital products, courses, bookings and community gating run off the same DM. Best for creators who want the follow gate and a place to send people afterwards.

Influish: the cheapest way to start (₹499/year)

Influish is a mobile app rather than a web dashboard. You pay once a year, connect Instagram through Meta's official login, set a keyword and a message, and go live. The company says it built the setup to take about ten minutes on your phone, and that matches what we've seen.

What you get for ₹499: comment-to-DM on reels, an option to ask people to follow before you share the link, bulk replies to comments, plus a set of creator-side extras: a collab marketplace with paid and barter campaigns, an invoice maker, a rate-card calculator, and account insights.

What you don't get: story-reply triggers, lead capture, multi-account support, or any AI. It is a basic tool, priced like one.

Pick Influish if you're under 10K followers, you post reels a few times a week, and your only goal right now is "send the link and ask them to follow." At ₹499 a year, it costs less than one month of the other two tools. The collab marketplace is a bonus if you're trying to land your first brand deals.

Skip it if you run more than one account, or you want to collect emails and WhatsApp numbers from your DMs.

ReelOxa AutoDM: built for growth (₹399/month)

ReelOxa is the most focused automation tool of the three. Everything in it is about turning a comment into a follower and then into a lead. The Starter plan is ₹399 a month (list price ₹499, currently discounted), or ₹3,999 a year, which works out to roughly ₹333 a month.

What you get on Starter: unlimited auto-DMs, unlimited keyword triggers, up to 2 accounts (3 on annual), follow-to-unlock with a follow check before the resource is sent, up to three CTA link buttons in one DM, story-reply and live-comment triggers, email and WhatsApp capture, click analytics on every link, spam and bot filtering, and a scanner that flags brand-deal and business enquiries buried in your inbox.

What the Pro plan adds (₹699/month): AI-written comment and DM replies that read what the person actually said and answer in English, Hinglish, or Roman Hindi. If your comment section is mostly "bhai link do" and "price kya hai," this is the feature that makes the automation feel human.

Pick ReelOxa if your main metric is follower growth and you want to see which reels and which links are actually converting. It's also the right choice if you don't want to commit to a year up front: try it for 30 days free, pay monthly, cancel when you like.

Skip it if you also want to sell digital products; ReelOxa doesn't have a storefront, so you'd be pairing it with another tool.

SuperProfile: the follow-gate tool that also closes the loop (free, or ₹499/month)

SuperProfile is usually described as a link-in-bio storefront with DM automation bolted on. That undersells it. It is an official Meta Tech Partner, so AutoDM runs on Instagram's approved APIs, and the automation covers comment-to-DM on posts and reels, story replies, live comments and DM keyword replies. You can build a separate flow for every post or campaign, and personalise each message with the commenter's name rather than sending one broadcast to everyone.

The feature that actually matters: Ask for a Follow

The Ask-for-Follow flow doesn't just fire your link at whoever comments. It checks whether the person already follows you, prompts them to follow if they don't, and releases the resource once they have. SuperProfile says creators have added more than 500,000 followers using this one flow. Treat the headline number as marketing, but the mechanic is real, and it is the whole difference between a tool that gives your link away and a tool that grows your account. It sits on the paid plan.

What's free and what isn't

Free forever: unlimited auto-DMs on post and reel comments, a link-in-bio store, three keyword triggers, and up to 10 lead-magnet responses. That is enough to run a working comment-to-DM funnel at zero cost, which no other tool on this list offers.

Creator, ₹99 for the first month and ₹499 after: Ask-for-Follow, story and live automations, DM keyword replies, follow-up messages to people who didn't act the first time, unlimited keyword triggers, unlimited leads, email capture and email automation, branding removal, and up to 5 Instagram accounts on the one subscription. Note that some comparison sites still quote SuperProfile as one subscription per account at $29; the India pricing page lists five accounts on the ₹499 plan, so check what applies to you before paying.

What happens after the DM

This is the part that gets written off as "just a storefront." What it actually means is that the link inside your automated DM can point at something you built in the same tool: a paid PDF or video with its own landing page, a course, a 1:1 booking slot, a webinar, or locked entry to a Telegram or Discord group. The lead captured in the DM lands in the same email list, and Zapier, Kit and Mailchimp are wired in if you want it elsewhere. No second subscription, no link juggling between three dashboards, and one place to see whether the reel actually produced money rather than just DMs.

Where it's weaker than a dedicated tool

The automation is broad rather than deep. There is no branching or conditional logic, so you can't send different messages based on how someone replies. There's no preview of the exact DM before you switch a flow on, and no A/B testing of message variants. Link analytics are lighter than ReelOxa's per-click tracking. There's no Hinglish AI, so you write your own copy, which is usually better anyway. And selling through the storefront carries a platform fee on lower tiers, so read the current fee schedule before you build a product business on top of it.

Pick SuperProfile if you want the follow gate and you'd otherwise be paying for a separate storefront, or if you run up to five accounts. The ₹99 first month makes it cheap to test whether a follow gate moves your comment-to-follower number before you commit to anything.

Skip it if you need branching flows, message testing, or per-link click analytics. That's ReelOxa or Manychat territory.

A note on "auto-DM your new followers"

You'll see this feature advertised. Treat it carefully.

Instagram's official follow trigger launched in late 2025 as a closed beta, and Meta decides account by account who gets access. Small accounts are usually not eligible. A tool can list the feature and still not be able to deliver it on your account.

The reliable way to get the same result works everywhere: run a follow gate on your comment-to-DM. The person asks for the link, the tool asks them to follow, the follow happens first. You get the follower, they get the link, and no beta access is needed. All three tools here can do this on their paid plans.

Why switching tools changed our comment-to-follower conversion

When we ran comment-to-DM through a basic tool with no follow gate, plenty of people commented, got the link, and never followed. Once we moved to a tool with a proper follow gate and a follow-up message, the share of commenters who ended up as followers went up noticeably.

To be fair, the tool alone doesn't explain it. Three things move that number, and we changed all of them at once.

A follow gate. Asking for the follow before the link, not after.

Message copy. A one-line, casual DM in the same language as the comment outperforms a paragraph in formal English.

A follow-up. A second nudge to people who commented but didn't follow within a few hours.

If your current tool can't do those three things, that's the reason to switch. Not the price.

How to decide in four questions

1. Is your goal followers, leads, or sales? Followers on the smallest possible budget: Influish. Followers plus per-link analytics and Hinglish replies: ReelOxa. Followers plus somewhere to send them that you didn't have to build separately: SuperProfile.

2. How many accounts? One: any of them. Two or three: ReelOxa. Four or five: SuperProfile.

3. Do you want to commit for a year? Yes, and you want the lowest possible bill: Influish at ₹499. No: ReelOxa monthly at ₹399, or SuperProfile's ₹99 first month.

4. Do your comments come in Hinglish? If you want the replies to match, ReelOxa Pro is the only option with native Hinglish AI. Otherwise write your DM templates in Hinglish yourself; that works on every tool.

Before you switch: a five-minute checklist

Connect only through Meta's official login screen. If a tool asks for your Instagram password directly, close the tab.

Start with one keyword on one reel. Don't set up five flows before you know one works.

Keep the keyword short and put it in the caption exactly as you want people to type it.

Turn the automation on for "any post" so older reels keep converting.

Test it from a second account before you announce it. Comment, follow, check the DM, click the link.

Check the new tool's DM speed. A reply that lands in a few seconds reads as fast; one that lands ten minutes later reads as a bot.

The short version

Manychat is a good product for agencies running multi-channel campaigns with a dollar budget. For an Indian creator running comment-to-DM on reels, it's the wrong tool at the wrong price.

Just starting, tight budget: Influish, ₹499 a year.

Serious about growth and want the numbers: ReelOxa, ₹399 a month.

Want the follow gate and a funnel behind it: SuperProfile. Free to run comment-to-DM from day one; ₹99 for the first month and ₹499 after that unlocks Ask-for-Follow, stories, lives, follow-ups and 5 accounts.

Whichever you pick, the follow gate and the DM copy will do more for your follower count than the logo on the dashboard.
