500 Travel Photo GPT Command Library

You have a folder full of travel photos and a rough idea of the edit you want. You open ChatGPT, type something like make this look cinematic, and get back a flat, generic picture that could be anyone's holiday. The gap is not the tool. It is that you handed it a vague brief, so it filled in the blanks with the most average version of everything.

This post is the fix: a library of 500 GPT travel photo prompts, each one a short command that stands for a specific, considered look. Instead of describing the same edit from scratch every time, you call the look by name. They are sorted into sixteen groups, from double exposures to posters, so you can jump straight to the style you need.

What these commands actually are

A quick, honest word first, because it saves a lot of confusion. ChatGPT does not have these commands built in. Typing /doubleExposureViral into a fresh chat will not do anything on its own. A command here is just a nickname for a longer instruction, the same way a keyboard shortcut stands in for a menu full of clicks.

So there are two ways to make GPT understand them. The quick way is to paste the command along with its one-line description the first time you use it, and let the model take it from there. The tidier way, if you use these often, is to set the whole list up once inside a Custom GPT, so the name alone triggers the look. Both are covered below.

Set the library up once

A Custom GPT is a version of ChatGPT you configure with your own instructions, so it behaves a set way every time. Creating one needs a paid plan, Plus and above. On the free plan you can still use the quick, paste-the-description method further down.

1. Open ChatGPT on a paid plan and start a new Custom GPT, or a Project, which works the same way for this.
2. In its instructions, paste the command lists from the groups below, then add one plain rule telling it what to do with them.
3. Save it. From then on, upload a photo, type a command, and it expands into the full edit for you.

You are a travel photo editor. When I send a photo and type a slash command such as /doubleExposureViral, treat the command as shorthand for the matching description in your instructions, and generate that edit of my photo. If I add a place name or a detail, work it in. Do one command at a time. Ask me nothing, just produce the image.

On the free plan, skip the setup. Just paste the command and its description straight into the chat with your photo, like /sunsetPostcard, turn this into a warm sunset souvenir postcard. You get the same result, you just retype the description each time.

How to get a good result

• Attach the photo first, then the command. The model is editing your image, not inventing one.
• Run one command at a time. Stacking two looks in a single go is how you get mush.
• Add your specifics: the place name, the mood, portrait or landscape. The command sets the style, you set the subject.
• Generate, then adjust. Treat the first image as a draft and refine in plain words: warmer, less busy, tighter crop.

Image generation from an uploaded photo works on every current ChatGPT plan, including free, though free and the cheaper tiers cap how many images you can make in a day. If you edit photos daily, a paid plan removes that ceiling.

How the library is organised

Five hundred commands, sorted into sixteen groups. Each group opens with a line on what it is for, then lists its commands with a short note on what each one does. Skim to the style you need, copy the command, and drop in your photo.
